We have reached another significant milestone: the entrance examination for the long-term Gymnasium has been successfully completed, and the results are now available. Eight out of the nine sixth graders participated in the exam three weeks ago. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of congratulating six of them and would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations once again - on behalf of the school management, teaching staff, and administration. One child will retake the exam this year and will therefore need to exercise a bit more patience.
The results are truly impressive: five students achieved an average score above 5, with one exceptional student attaining a fantastic grade of 5.8. They have every reason to be proud of their accomplishments. These results inspire tremendous confidence: among those with high grades are two students who have learned German as a second language.
We would like to take this opportunity to
highlight the collaboration between our schools, Gymnasium Dr. Buchmann, and Freie Gymnasium Zürich. Under established conditions, students may transfer to Dr. Buchmann Gymnasium and the pro-gymnasium class at Freie Gymnasium without undergoing further examination, provided they have a recommendation letter from us. It is also important to remember that in Switzerland, a child can transition to a short-term high school after secondary school, leading to the same federal qualifications.
